When it comes to providing expert tax advice with a personal touch, Haidee Watson stands out. As the Personal Tax Director at Watson Knipe, Haidee combines extensive experience with a deep understanding of her client’s needs to offer tailored solutions. Here’s a closer look at Haidee’s journey and her approach to helping businesses and individuals with their taxation needs.
Haidee’s career path took an unexpected turn after starting a family. Originally working in the motor trade, she shifted to an administrative role in a financial practice, where her interest in accounting and tax began. Encouraged by her colleagues, she pursued her qualification with the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). Over the years, she advanced to become a Fellow of ATT in 2021, a recognition that underscores her dedication and expertise.
The practice was founded in 2005 by Haidee Watson and Andy Knipe and was initially called Adcock Accounting. Haidee and Andy worked hard to build a strong practice, valued by all their clients. Sadly, Andy passed away in 2020 and the practice name was changed to Watson Knipe as Haidee wanted to acknowledge and pay tribute to Andy.
Today, Watson Knipe supports clients with a wide range of needs, from personal tax and VAT to PAYE services and property investment advice.
What sets Watson Knipe apart is Haidee’s commitment to understanding her clients, not just their businesses, but also their personal circumstances. She believes that making a difference means going beyond numbers, ensuring her advice improves lives as well as balance sheets. Clients appreciate having a trusted adviser who is approachable, proactive, and always ready to listen.
Haidee has carefully cultivated a team that shares her values. While Watson Knipe has grown significantly, she is mindful of maintaining a healthy work-life balance for both herself and her staff. This people-first approach extends to her recruitment, where she prioritises finding the right fit over rapid expansion.
Haidee is an active member of BNI (Business Network International), a commitment she has maintained for over 14 years. This networking group has been instrumental in connecting her with new clients and trusted business partners. While she aims to attract larger clients, Haidee remains passionate about supporting small businesses and startups, often helping them establish solid foundations.
When Haidee isn’t managing taxes or growing her business, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing hobbies that help her unwind. This balance is key to the supportive environment she fosters at Watson Knipe—a workplace where the team operates like a close-knit family.
Haidee embodies the ethos of Watson Knipe: expertise with a personal touch. Her journey from the motor trade to leading a respected tax practice highlights her adaptability, dedication, and passion for helping others. Whether you’re a business owner, property investor, or someone navigating personal tax matters, Haidee and her team are here to guide you every step of the way.
Haidee is our Personal Tax Director and is a fully qualified tax adviser, having achieved the ATT qualification in 2006. Tax efficiency being her main concern. Specialising in taxation, Haidee provides clients with advice on personal tax, PAYE services, VAT and social security. She also provides guidance to new start-up businesses.
