If you are a working parent with children under 9 you should have a read of this blog. Some of you may have already started to claim Tax-Free Childcare for your younger children.
Tax-Free Childcare can help you to reduce the cost of childcare for your children. This scheme was initially introduced in April 2017 and at the same time the government doubled the free childcare that was available to work parents. This meant that anyone with children aged 3 and 4 could claim up to 30 hours a week of free childcare.
In January 2018 the scheme was extended to parents with children aged 9 or under. This month the Tax-Free Childcare scheme is being extended even further and now parents that have children under 12 will also be able to take advantage of the scheme.
If you want to check if you are eligible and to apply for the scheme you need to visit the Childcare Choices website.
